About the roleWe are seeking a Digital Project Manager to project manage digital product development for ELT publishing in order to ensure that ELT publishes cost-effective and innovative digital products that enhance our position as market leader. The role is based in the Digital Delivery team.
Within the role you will –
- scope, specify, budget for, schedule and manage digital projects so that they are delivered on time, to budget, and to the agreed level of quality
- negotiate and manage business relationships with suppliers in order to deliver projects successfully
- train team members so that staff are motivated and deliver cost-effective and innovative digital products
- matrix-manage virtual teams, which will include editorial personnel, developers and external testers, to deliver digital products to specification
- research technology, relevant standards, best practice and the principles of digital and educational publishing, to ensure that innovative and cost effective solutions are proposed to meet user requirements
About youYou should –
- be educated to a degree standard, or with equivalent relevant experience
- have proven project managing experience in content-rich software projects
- have experience in creating and shaping digital product concept, functionality, design, and/or information architecture
- have an understanding of digital authoring technologies and delivery platforms
It would be desirable if you have experience of teaching English as a foreign language; people management experience; publishing experience and a formal project management qualification, e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation. You should also be proficient in the use of MS Project, Excel and Visio.
