About the roleThe EdUK Compliance Team, based in Oxford and Australia, are responsible for ensuring that all departments operate ethically, and that all of its staff and businesses adhere to OUP’s Code of Conduct and Ethical Policies. EdUK works closely with Group Compliance and the Legal Department on anti-bribery, fraud and corruption compliance. In this role you will be required to provide support to the business as well as the manage business partner programme with its ongoing requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
- Design appropriate Compliance content for the Training and Policy framework.
- Ensure mechanisms are in place to identify both internal and external changes in the global regulatory requirements for anti-bribery and corruption.
- Embed the Training and Policy Framework within the business and maintain an up to date understanding of the needs of the business in relation to compliance training.
- Build effective communication channels within the business and with key stakeholders to ensure that employees’ ethical understanding aligns with the Compliance Strategy.
- Collaboratively engage and support the Ethics and Compliance Associate Partner Manager in delivering training to employees and third parties, as well as liaising and co-ordinating across the business.
- Maintain accountability for the documentation of the Compliance training programme including report writing, KPIs, record keeping, and Adequate Procedures requirements.
- Ensure that the Training and Policy Framework controls are robust against the Monitoring and Review Programme.
- Support the Senior Ethics and Compliance Manager with ad-hoc projects as required.

About youThe successful candidate will have:
- Education to degree level (or equivalent) and other professional qualification is desirable.
- Compliance experience and or training background with experience in designing and delivering content, including knowledge of the UK Bribery Act.
- Practical experience of managing compliance risks across multiple jurisdictions and functional areas.
- Strong decision making skills and be a confident communicator both internally and externally including working with cross-cultural teams.
- A high level of discretion and trustworthiness as they will be required to work with sensitive and confidential information.
- A willingness to travel overseas and support colleagues in different time zones and locations.
